How does the ePublishing system determine whether to send the user their order confirmation in Spanish?

This is only relevant if your website has been configured to be available in Spanish. If you are interested in doing this for your site, please contact your project manager.

Whether we send the reader an order confirmation in Spanish is based on the user’s preferred language set in their browser. In the html template for the email confirmation, we don't use hard-coded labels like "First Name." We use localized symbols like ":first_name," for example. Then we have a Spanish language file that tells the system to replace that symbol with “Nombre” if their locale is identified as Spanish.

ePublishing's system does not translate anything on the fly related to the products ordered. It's just the labels that are localized in the template (so a product's name would still be in English).

To test this, you would need to set the preferred language in your browser to Spanish and then place an order on the website.
