How do I format content?
This article provides information on how to format content primarily using the WYSIWYG editor, which stands for What You See Is What You Get. A WYSIWYG editor makes it easy to format content, including:
- Changing alignment;
- Inserting images;
- Adding bullets or numbered lists;
- Adding pages;
- Creating tables;
- Adding links;
- Changing the color of text;
- and more.
You can also access the html source through the WYSIWYG to format content using html, including adding paragraph tags (<p>), line breaks (<br>), formatting (<b>, <i>, <u>) and other more advanced html.
The WYSIWYG editor is available throughout the ePublishing system.
To format your content in the WYSIWYG editor, follow these steps:
1. Use this toolbar to format your content:

You can type or paste your content directly in the body field.
To paste content from your clipboard into the wysiwyg editor without any formatting or styling, use Ctrl+Shift+V in Windows and cmd+shift+p on a Mac.
2. For text formatting use the below circled buttons in the WYSIWYG toolbar.

Highlight the text you want to apply formatting to, and click the icon. For example, if you'd like to make a word bold, highlight that word and click the B icon in the tool.
3. You can format your paragraphs using these tools.

4. You can add media, links, and more using these tools.

To add a hyperlink, highlight text you want linked and click on the link icon.

To create a table, click the table icon.

Hover over the boxes to set the number of columns and rows, highlighted in blue. Click on the bottom-right blue corner of your selection to insert the table.
When the table appears in the body, click on it and more formatting tools will appear.

If you are working in source mode, you must switch back to wysiwyg mode before you can save!
